This is the first video I have watched of yours and I can wait to see more! You have a very soothing way about you and are very down to earth. I am on the first day of my raw food diet after months and months of researching it. I can use all the support I can get! So thanks for this :)

to pisces247, I also gain weight on a raw food diet because I am insulin resistant, Now I am about to try the PH miracle diet, where you avoid acid food and eat alkaline food. People lose from half a pound to a pound of fat per day on this diet. You also have to exercice on a rebounder to flush toxin out. But check the Robert Young book for details cause some sites are eroneous about the acid/alkaline food list.

Eating a raw food diet will correct your insulin resistance. You previous diet did consist of a lot of sugars. Watermelon, pineapple, and dates are high in sugars. It’s best to balance things out, even raw foods. It also helps to drink a lot of water. Hoping you’ll be able to heal your body and adapt to a raw lifestyle.

I did the raw food diet, I loved it_____until I started to gain weight! I only eight my favorite foods which was nuts, pineapples, watermelon, and dates. I later found out that I was insulin resistant. I’m now doing a mostly plant based diet, and I feel great! But my goal is to one day go raw again. I really wish I could :(

Her’s was the second book that I bought. I would love to train with her in learning how to prepare Raw Gourmet Foods. She really is an excellent example of someone who successful leads a raw lifestyle. Thank you for the suggestion & comment.

Raw food seems like the only cure to me as well… therefore i am very VERY excited for my future with raw food!!

You should think about picking up a copy of her book. She also has DVDS. (Book sells for about $50).

    The best of luck!!

Well i must say your a positive role model for the person that you are, and what you have been through. It takes courage to put yourself out like that, be as honest as possible and stay positive. I myself am no raw foodist as YET, but i plan to become one in the future (I am only 16 years old, still living with my parents).

I have read pages of Alissa Cohen’s ”Living on Live Food” book, and everything you say is indeed true.

Trust me, once you’ve gotten the sausage and eggs out of your system, you’ll feel great!

Hey, thanks for the video. Am definitely down with you with the raw foods diet. As a matter of fact am trying it now. But I gotta be honest with you that pancake and sausage really sounds good right now. But am strong.

    Peace

The bananas you’re using are probably too ripe. Try getting your bananas on the greener, less ripe side and that should eliminate heartburn.

Thanks for the information. You are a very insightful person. : )

I use spinach, an apple or two, along with agave nectar or honey for sweetness. You may want to try using mango or a little avocado to give it that texture.

    Thank you.

Can anyone reply to my comment here or email me and tell me what I can substitute for bannanas in my green smoothie? The bannans give it a nice sweet taste and creamy consistancy-however, I have found bannanas give me heartburn. Any advice?
